Take the Cat with You

“We are saving the cats because you come to us” is the slogan of the unique organization opened in Moscow last winter. This is a co-working space - an office space for people who only need an office for a while. For example, for freelancers whose conditions at home do not allow working, or are simply tired and bored alone. Indeed, it is worth sometimes getting out of cozy house slippers, putting on something fashionable instead of pajamas, taking a laptop and going “up in the world” - in a search for working atmosphere, stylish interior, comfortable furniture and fast internet. And cats.

Yes, cats.

The co-working space located near the Mayakovskaya metro station differs from other similar spaces, because cats live there. It is called a “Cat Bureau”.

Cats are not just common cats there. More precisely, they have a difficult fate: they all could have died during the demolition of old houses, but, fortunately, were saved. “The Fund for the Protection of Urban Animals has been examining houses that are being demolished under the renovation program for already two years, and evacuating cats therefrom. There are only 1000 cat places in city shelters and they have been overcrowded for a long time, that's why we have opened such a space for cats... ”- so is written on the website of the Cat Bureau.

So Muscovites currently have a good place to do a great job stroking warm cat fur for inspiration.

But that's not all. In the Cat Bureau, you can get closer to the cats: each local pet has a name, and most often it coincides with the name of one of the cities: Shanghai, Lisbon, Korolev... Well, if a particularly warm feeling arises for one of them, then you can take it home!

And it cannot but arise: these are cats!
